Orthodontics
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Dentistry, is accepting nominations and applications for a full-time faculty position, in the Department of Orthodontics. The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry seeks faculty candidates with a demonstrated record of clinical and didactic teaching in the advanced dental education program, research in patient oriented and/or oral biological research discipline. Candidate will spend some of their time participating in the department’s clinical and teaching missions, but the faculty member is expected to develop a research program in clinical or biological research.
Qualified candidates must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, be board certified (or board eligible) by the American Board of Orthodontics and be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Board of Dental Examiners of Alabama. Candidates are expected to acquire external research funding over time and demonstrate a strong background in program administration, teaching and creativity in research and scholarship. Consideration of applicants will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
